Andrew County Public Safety CPR (Andrew County EMR, First Responders, Fire, Police, and Dispatch)

Andrew County Public Safety Personnel can take this class free of charge. It is a great class for all department members and is a healthcare level class so it will work for the EMR program also. In the past we taught 2 different types of classes, now we have decided to just teach this course. It will be a little more in depth than some may need, but we figured more knowledge is always good. It will also ensure everyone whether fire fighter, police, or EMR are all on the same page with what is being done for the patient. Check the calendar to sign up for this course, or call to schedule a separate day or evening that works best for your department.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

475,000 Americans die from a cardiac arrest every year and 17.5 million people across the globe die from cardiovascular disease each year.

68.5% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur at home.

45% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest victims survive when bystander CPR is administered

Take these 3 Steps…

  1. Make sure you are willing to step up and help save someone when the time comes. Providing CPR can be scary, but remember if no one steps up to do it, that person does not have a good chance of survival.
  2. Watch the video to learn Hands only CPR now! Don’t wait to take a class, watch this video now and know it is this simple to help save a life

3. Take a CPR class. Most basic CPR classes take less than 3 hours. During that class you will have an instructor help teach you so you will be even more confident to help someone when the time comes. You will also be able to practice on the manikins!

Remember, don’t let the fact that you haven’t had a class stop you from performing CPR today if needed!
